My Scouting Journey: Connie Sekete

Hailing from Rustenburg Tlhabane in the Northwest.Connie Sekete went on an exciting Scouting Journey under the leadership of Former RC Thabiso Majola and Bra Boy Sedumedi

Connie is a teacher by profession and today her scouting Journey of the past few years has become of an explorer ,lover of nature and an adventurer

Connie is one of the innovators who introduced Scouting in a Special learner Facility –Iteko Special School Which was founded in 2016.A school of skills for learners and intellectual disabilities

The school currently has 25 scouts with 2 Adult leaders

However,She discovered many lessons in scouting activities which she can incorporate into her learners such as Backwoods cooking, first aid skills ,Pioneering and gadgets in order to shape the young leaders approach to life challenges

Connie is Currently Serving as a troop Scouter at Iteko Special School

She has attained her Introduction to Adult leadership training certificate ,5 year long Service award as an adult Leader and is currently working on her stage 2 adult training warrant

With the support of her Fellow District Scouts she found a community bound who shared a commitment to Service
