Embrace, Engage, Elevate and Communicate!

Message from Chief Scout Khonzaphi Mdaka

AFRICA SCOUT DAY GENERICToday we join Scouts around our continent in celebrating the impact of Scouting. Africa Scout Day was recognised by the African Union as a day to show the achievements of Scouting in Africa.

This year’s theme is “Embrace, Engage, Elevate”. This is exactly what we are aiming to achieve with the launch of the D6 Business Communicator for SCOUTS South Africa. We are embracing the need to communicate effectively with you – our members. We are introducing a new way to engage and elevate our interactions with you. As we embark on this exciting journey together, I want to explain a little more on why we are introducing D6 and what you can expect.

Our SCOUTS SA D6 Communicator is designed to streamline our interactions, making it easier for us to stay connected, informed, and engaged. Whether you’re a seasoned Scout Leader, a new passionate volunteer, or an enthusiastic Scout parent or Rover, this platform is tailored to enhance our communication and collaboration like never before.

With the SCOUTS SA D6 Communicator, you can expect:

  1. A Personalized Experience: The D6 App has been customised to provide you with Scout branch specific information based on your role on Scouts.Digital. Volunteers and parents will receive tailormade content to help you and your child along their Scouting journey!
  2. Direct Updates: Receive real-time notifications about upcoming events, opportunities, and vital information directly from your National Chair or Regional Commissioner in your inbox or phone App.
  3. Adult Support: Receive updates on volunteer opportunities, support, training, and many recognition campaigns.
  4. Interactive Engagement: At times, you will be prompted to share insights, and participate in polls and surveys to contribute to the growth of our vibrant Scouting community.

I believe that effective communication is vital for a successful Scouting experience, and D6 Communicator is one of our tools to help us achieve our collective goals. So, as we navigate and learn through Scouting, let’s also embark on this adventure together so we can continue to shape the future of our members and create a better world for generations to come.

If you have any queries or want to reach out, you can still email info@scouts.org.za or WhatsApp us on 068 069 9463.

Yours in Scouting,
Khonzaphi Mdaka, Chief Scout.
