Respect other people!

This year we are celebrating 100 years of Cubbing worldwide.  We spoke to Vun’we Baloyi (10) from 1st Sasekani Cub Pack in Limpopo.

VunweSSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is fun because we learn while playing.

SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience was learning the Cub laws because they are easy.

SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
Once I ate Jungle Oats outdoors.

SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
The toughest challenge was collecting 100 white stones for the Cub challenge.

SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The most amazing place where we went was Petanenge.

SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I learnt to respect other people and how to keep myself clean.

SSA: What things have you done with Cubs to help people in your community?
We helped the community by picking up papers.

SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I taught my mum the Cub promise and law because she needs to know it so that she can help me.

SSA: What makes a good Akela?
A good Akela is kind to other people.

SSA: Why is your Akela special?
Because she loves us!

Cubbing Rocks because … we always learn something NEW.
