Go outside and snap those photos! #CNC2025

The City Nature Challenge 2025 is here! This is how it works:

  • Get outdoors this weekend and take at least ten photos of wild plants, animals, insects and more!
  • Load your photos “observations” on the iNaturalist App, and
  • Link them to the SCOUTS South Africa project.

The timing of the City Nature Challenge is set, so make sure to take your photos and load them on the App on time!

  • April 25 – 28: Take an upload your photos “observations”
  • April 29 – May 4: Finish uploading and work on identifications
  • May 5: Results announced!

Scouting members who submit 10 or more valid “observations” will be able to wear a CNC2025 badge on their uniforms!

By participating in the City Nature Challenge you are also helping us put Scouting on the Map by highlighting the importance of mobilising young people to be better citizens who care about the biodiversity within their neighbourhoods. #scouts4sdgs
